Course 2 - Intermediate - ZoneTraderTM Method

It is time to launch your trading education to the Ultimate Level!

Transitional Education & Training

Traders need a "place" especially those traders who trade from home. Trading becomes a lonely business; therefore, we need a "coffee house" to join other, like minded, folks with which to commiserate and share our feelings, i.e., FUDS: fears, uncertainties and doubts. To accomplish this desire we have designed a whole new course to instruct traders how to read the mind of the market. This Intermediate course has one prerequisite: Our Basic Course.

In educational style, moderators comment on high probability trade setups in formation, so all may watch the setup succeed or fail... then to evaluate and discuss the quality of the setup after the announcement... to see if the market plays out as suggested. FuturesTalk provided charts display all indicators needed to read the mind of the market. Indicators applied are leading rather than lagging. These indicators will appear confusing to the new viewer at first... just like the cockpit of an airliner passengers sometimes view during boarding; however, moderators and other attendees will gradually explain the indicators. We also provide documentation describing indicators with room access instructions.
In addition to commiseration with peers, FuturesTalk moderators provide regular trader education. A complex chart with all the indicators used to interpret market price action is displayed and explained to viewers so all may follow the commodity, option, stock, metal, interest or currency [C O S M I C] being displayed and traded by the group. Moderators provide verbal commentary on the unfolding events of the market being observed. Attendees make comments; ask questions publicly in the main room or chat privately with moderators or attendees.

After the trading day is done, our intermediate course is offered 1 to 2 hours per day. Also, as part of our intermediate course, we introduce our weekly [weekend - 2 hour] research and analysis regimen where we select the 1 to 3 highest probability investment opportunity setups we can identify. Then, when each of those markets open on Sunday evening, we place Good to Cancel [GTC] standing orders and await the automatic execution of our orders. With each entry, an automatic Order Cancels Order [OCO] target and a protective stop is placed. All of these precepts are covered daily, hourly and minute-to-minute in our FuturesTalk Live Trade Radio Room but are taught with detail concepts after market close when traders are not distracted by the steady stream of trade opportunities.

We use underlying concepts of Market Profile to find market support, resistance, sentiment and condition. ZoneTraderTM, created by Matt Reynolds, is the vehicle we use to automate the concept of Market Profile, created by Peter Steidlmayer.

Our indicators are unique: The intermediate course teaches ZoneTraderTM, the application of Market Profile, a predefined market arena for trading auction-based markets. This method captures the underlying psychology of markets watched on multiple timeframes in order to predict future market direction. ZoneTraderTM employs three distributions per profile and currently, offers five profiles: yearly, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily [intraday]. With the assistance of ZoneTraderTM, we read the mind of the commodities markets.

Our use of the 55 LRC [linear regression curve] helps capture the rubber band effect of how price generally reverts to the mean.

This is one example of our service: Sharing intent, such as:

"Entering short at [1310.50 with tight stop]  [1308.50 - 8 ticks; $100]; target  [1315.50 20 ticks; $250]…
twice + size of stop," is viewed by others to consider and/or reject.

Interchange between peers helps viewers learn from one another!
